The Art of Stepping Up

I have always been a firm believer in the idea of personal and intellectual growth.
My work lives at the intersection of communication, design, and advocacy, using strategy and storytelling to make people feel seen.
My goal has always been to support and uplift marginalized communities through intentional marketing. I plan to build a digital marketing firm that helps businesses grow their brands, shape their narratives, and present themselves with confidence across various platforms. It’s not just about branding; it’s about creating lasting visibility and advancing the culture.
That mindset guided one of my favorite projects to date: a neuro-inclusive campaign concept for Under Armour. I led the creative strategy from the ground up, conducting primary research, designing a sensory-friendly product line, and developing a campaign that centered on representation, campus activations, and authentic storytelling. From copywriting to concept development, every detail was designed with purpose. It wasn’t just a school project; it was a step toward the kind of work I want to do every day.
Representation is everything to me. I didn’t always see people who looked like me in tech, branding, or the arts. Now, I’m creating the kind of work I wish I had seen growing up, and carving out space for the next generation to dream even bigger.

Communication is Key
Breaking into Media
Majoring in Graphic Media Science and Technology has equipped me with the tools I need to express my ideas. Additionally, it has taught me how to communicate effectively through writing, speaking, and media production. I think what really drew me to this major was how I could use communication through different mediums. I had an internship in high school with a TV station for my school called BCPS-TV. Here is a snippet of a two-part series I did in my senior year of high school.
Making A Bigger Difference (ACA)
ALANA Collegiate Association
I came to RIT because I wanted a broad liberal education that would develop my creative and analytical abilities. My experience on the ACA Eboard has not only allowed me to expand on these abilities, but has also given me the opportunity to assist others in growing their talents as well.

Don't Think, Just Dance: A Trademark
Velocity: RIT's Urban Dance Crew
One of the main things I love about being involved is the people I meet. When you are on multiple boards, you have to deal with many different kinds of people. I joined Velocity in the Fall of 2020. I joined Eboard in the Spring of 2021, and I definitely can say that my experience on Eboard has shaped how I design and communicate.
